Calm Before the Storm – Get an Emergency Backup Power System in Place

Hurricane Map

Recent history has demonstrated that hurricanes in the Atlantic are consistently developing later into the year, even beyond the defined hurricane season. In the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season, over 2/3rds of the named storms that hit the US did so after August 11th, and evidence suggests 2021 will be no different. If this holds true, it means that we can reasonably expect upwards of 20 additional named storms to develop before the end of the 2021 hurricane season.

The possibility of an extended hurricane season, coupled with supply chain issues and delayed lead times for new diesel generators due to covid are an indication that backup power resources will continue to be in high demand for the foreseeable future, and inventories, already running low, will likely be exhausted quickly when the next power emergency takes place.
