Global Power Supply, LLC., a privately held leader in integrated power solutions, is pleased to announce that it has expanded our mobile UPS trailer fleet with two custom constructed, 1200 kW high powered lithium-ion UPS backup battery mobile trailers. Nicknamed “Hercules”, GPS’s leading-edge technology rental trailer will be on site at Super Bowl LII (52) in Minneapolis, Minnesota February 2018 in support of an epic 10-day fan festival featuring live concerts, a national broadcast, and entertainment over a six-block area in downtown Minneapolis.
Partnering with Air Power Consultants, the newly developed 58’ weatherproof trailer has been outfitted with utility input, critical load output, and generator input in tough stainless-steel cases all with female cam-lock setups capable of six conductors per phase plus ground. Both inputs are pre-wired to a 2000 Amp Eaton 3-pole open transition automatic transfer switch located inside the trailer.
The Eaton switch is integrated with a main input breaker, UPS input breaker, key switched maintenance bypass breaker, maintenance isolation breaker, and critical load output breaker.

GPS Mobile Trailer Backup System
The trailer is equipped with an Eaton Power Xpert 9395p 1200 kW UPS consisting of four 300 kVA UPM (power modules) enabling 1200 kW capacity or 900 kW N+1, or 600 kW N+2. This Eaton is configured to support communications packages; dry contact, web SNMP, mod-bus TCP/IP, paralleling support, and installed Eaton Predict Plus remote monitoring.
The system uses the latest Li-ion lithium-ion batteries in six battery cabinets providing an estimated runtime of five minutes at full load. The cabinets are fully integrated with independent processors for monitoring the condition of the batteries. Four 5-ton Marvair Scholar air conditioning systems provide low noise and high efficiency precision cooling and redundancy at full load.
In addition, these trailers have the capability of being paralleled for 2400 kW capacity or N+1 Redundancy at 1200 kW.
