The Mitsubishi Electric 9900D Series is a high-capacity, modular, three-phase Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) system designed to deliver industry-leading reliability, efficiency and serviceability for mission-critical environments. With ratings available from 1200 kVA up to 2000 kVA, this system is built for large data centers, industrial operations, and infrastructure applications demanding uninterrupted power protection.

At the core of the 9900D’s performance is its online double-conversion topology and advanced IGBT three-level power modules, which deliver up to 97% AC-to-AC efficiency even at low load levels.

The unit’s modular architecture supports N or N+1 redundancy and enables expansion in fixed-increment modules, allowing customers to pay for the capacity they need today while retaining future scalability.

In operation, the 9900D has a demonstrated sustained load-carrying capability of 99.9995% across its installed base, a testament to its robust design and field reliability.

The series also stands out for its compact footprint, high power density and flexibility. For example, the 2000 kVA version achieves a significantly reduced spatial requirement compared with equivalent competitive units—helping reduce “grey space” and increase valuable revenue-generating floor area.

Support for multiple battery technologies, including VRLA, flooded cell, nickel-cadmium and lithium-ion—adds to the 9900D’s adaptability across diverse deployment scenarios.
